Okay, so I've stayed here for one night now, and, as I suspected (trudde), they are really nice! I couldn't be happier with them right now, and also relieved (letta), as you always have you worries. The food so far has been great: we went to get raamen (nudler) yesterday for lunch, and for dinner we got Indian curry!
Although (Sjøl om) the climate is similar (likner) to Houston, they don't use the air conditioning in the bedrooms, which is a big transition (forandring), but it's overcomable (greit) because of the fan (vifta).
School doesn't start until September 19th, but we've got our first test on Monday; our Japanese language placement test (kunnskapsprøve i japansk). So I need to study this weekend and review the whole curriculum for the past year... I already did the Japanese characters (tegna) earlier this summer, but I'm sure I've forgot some of them. However, watching American TV shows with Japanese subtitles (undertekster) is already improving (bedrer) my character reading skills (leseevner).
Jeg greide så klart å glømme igjen et par ting på hotellet, men de skulle sende det i posten så det går bra!
